DescriptionContains the following audio recordings: - Audio recording titled "'William' on Radio 4/2/47 BBC Light Progr." [Containing an episode of the "Just William" radio play series written by Richmal Crompton.] This episode [titled "The Mystery Of The Elms"] was broadcast by the BBC [British Broadcasting Corporation] as part of the BBC Light Programme on 4 February 1947. The recording was copied onto audio cassette tape in the c1990s. - Audio recording titled "'William' 1967". This audio recording was created in c1967 and was copied onto audio casette tape in the c1980s. - Audio recording titled "Meridian (BBC World Service) - 1986 Publication of Mary Cadogan's Biog" [Presumably containing an episode of radio arts programme "Meridian", broadcast on the British Broadcasting Corporation's World Service in 1986, which contained a segment about the publication of Mary Cadogan's biography "Richmal Crompton: The Woman Behind Just William".] The recording was copied onto audio cassette tape in 1986. - Audio recordings titled "Just William - Interviews. 1) C. Wilson 2) Sarah Davies." [Containing recordings of interviews, about the William stories, with C Wilson (full name not stated), and with Sarah Davies from Macmillan publishers.] The recordings were created in the c1990s. - Audio recording titled "Keith Skipper with R.A." [presumably containing an interview between Keith Skipper (author and broadcaster) and Richmal Ashbee (niece of Richmal Crompton)]. The audio recording was created in the c1990s. (Accompanying the audio recording is a handwritten note from Kate Massey [daughter of Richmal Ashbee] discussing the making of copies of the audio recording; note written in c2010.) - Audio recording titled "'Today' 15.11.90 - Just William [plye?] - Bocquet" containing an episode of the radio programme "Today", broadcast on Radio 4 by the BBC [British Broadcasting Corporation] on 15 November 1990. The interview was broadcast on Radio Norfolk [by the British Broadcasting Corporation] on 7 May 1993. The recording was copied onto audio cassette tape in 1993. - Audio recording titled "William and the Bomb. Wilfred Josephs - St David's Hall, Cardiff - Sept '93". [Containing an audio recording of "William and the Bomb" composed by Wilfred Josephs, based on the William stories. It was broadcast [on Radio 4 by the British Broadcasting Corporation] on 12 April 2001. The recordings were copied onto audio cassette tapes in 2001.
