Description	[The episode was first broadcast on 5 October 1948. It was likely broadcast by the British Broadcasting Corporation.] The script was annotated [by Richmal Crompton?] in c1948. The annotated script was photocopied in c1996 and the photocopies were annotated [by Richmal Ashbee? niece of Richmal Crompton] in 1996. [This script was likely read out at a meeting of the Just William Society in 1996.] The file appears to contain one photocopy of the full script, and then further photocopies, with each additional copy annotated to highlight the lines of a different character. The file also contains the following: - Notes [made by Richmal Ashbee? niece of Richmal Crompton] written in preparation for the reading of the script; the notes were written in c1996. - A covering letter sent with the photocopies of the script from Paul Ashbee [husband of Richmal Crompton's niece, Richmal Ashbee] to [Ray] Heard [at the Just William Society]; letter written in c2006.
