| Description | This sub-fonds consists of papers accumulated as a result of being a student, staff member, principal or supporter of Froebel Educational Institute and demonstration schools or other teacher training colleges. The bulk of the series consists of student papers. Over 140 people are represented in this series. Of note, this series contains student coursework, including examples of Froebel’s gifts and occupations and many examples of nature study. Student coursework includes original illustrations, diagrams, maps and photographs of exceptional quality. Also of note, this series includes the papers of Madame Emilie Michaelis, Froebel Educational Institute’s first Principal, and the papers of Principal Eglantyne Mary Jebb, who managed Froebel Educational Institute during the Second World War and wartime evacuations. |
