| Description | The file contains handwritten tables for all of the William books up to and including "William and the Pop Singers". The tables list the stories in each book, and for each story gives: the title, a brief summary of the plot, and the names of the supporting characters.
For the books up to and including "W and the Brains Trust" ["William and the Brains Trust"], the tables also note corrections to be made to the books (with page numbers), and contain ideas for plays, and ideas [for radio plays?] for the BBC. [Presumably these tables were created to summarise the stories in the William books, so that they might be used to provide ideas for plays and radio plays.]
The tables were created in the c1940s and c1960s.
The file also includes:
- A section of a handwritten draft copy of a script for a William [radio play?] titled ["Brown Saturday Afternoon"?]; draft copy created and annotated in c1948. This draft copy was written on scrap paper. The items used for scrap paper include accounts for royalties to be paid by AP Watt and Son, London, [literary agents], 1948.
- Handwritten notes [perhaps containing ideas for William plays and radio plays?], written c1966. |
