DescriptionThe file contains: Annotated, typed draft copies of scripts for the following episodes of the "Just William" [radio] plays [these radio plays were likely created for broadcast by the British Broadcasting Corporation] (all created and annotated in c1940s-c1950s): - "Brighten Ethel's Party" - "Beats Record" - "Game of Politics" - "William Prime Minister" - "Good Resolution" [it is not clear if this is a radio play or a stage play] - "Entertainment Provided" - "Robert Makes Acquaintance With a New Neighbour" A section of an annotated, typed draft copy of a script for the William [stage] play "Cure for Cold" (created and annotated in c1940s-c1950s). A section of a typed draft copy of a script for the William [stage play?] "William Goes to the Circus" (created in c1940s-c1950s). A handwritten draft copy of a section of a script for an unnamed William [radio or stage] play. Handwritten notes containing ideas for William [radio] plays [and stage plays?], including the [radio] play titled "Pet's Club", as well as unnamed [stage or radio] plays. The handwritten pages in the file have been written on scrap paper. Items used for scrap paper include: - Pages from an annotated, typed draft copy of a [non-William] story; draft copy created and annotated in c1940s-c1950s. - A letter to RC Lamburn [Richmal Crompton Lamburn, also known as Richmal Crompton] from Princes Plain County Secondary School for Girls, Bromley, Kent, asking her to give a talk at the school; letter dated 1952.
