DescriptionThe file contains the following: - A postcard sent to Richmal [Ashbee] from Martin Jarvis, discussing a recent meeting between Richmal [Ashbee] and Martin Jarvis; postcard written in c1990. - A press cutting from "The Times", 10 April 2002, containing the article "A Feast of Hushed Tones and Hoary Anecdotes" by Joe Joseph, in which he describes the voice of George Carey (the Archbishop of Canterbury) during the funeral service of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother as being like the voice used by Martin Jarvis for the character of William in his audio readings of the William books. - A photocopy of an agreement between Richmal Ashbee and Jarvis and Ayres Productions, for the creation of readings of the William stories to be published by BBC [British Broadcasting Corporation] radio with the title "Just William Doin' Good"; agreement dated 2004 and photocopy made in c2004. - A covering letter sent to Richmal Ashbee [with one of the above items?] from AP Watt Ltd., literary agents, London; letter written c2004.
